This guide is targeted toward completely new players aiming to survive the Fire Forest boss. Just follow these simple steps to beat the first level in the game!

<HTML><p></HTML>Unless you have good experience with games similar to Starbreak, you probably won't be able to solo it your first time. Go in with some other people- the boss will almost certainly be beaten whether you do anything or not, and you can learn to beat it while having others help.<HTML></p></HTML><HTML></li></HTML>
<HTML><li></HTML><HTML><p></HTML>Stay at the entrance if you have low health.\\

<HTML></p></HTML>
<HTML><p></HTML>The entrance to the boss room (at the far left) is the safest spot. The boss doesn't jump there, and all you have to do to survive is dodge the occasional flame and kill any parasites that get too close. If you're too worried about dying, it is also the easiest place to home from. If you are on the other side of the boss map, you can stand on the floating rocks and home while it is carrying you up. The only dangers you would have to watch out for are fireballs from the boss.\\

<HTML><p></HTML>Most importantly, don't be afraid to stay out of the fight if you are near dying. The boss will almost certainly be beaten with or without your help- while it's good to get experience fighting it, there's no need to die pointlessly.\\

<HTML><p></HTML>Next, for the actual fighting...<HTML></p></HTML><HTML></li></HTML>
<HTML><li></HTML><HTML><p></HTML>Follow the boss.\\

<HTML><p></HTML>In order to get damage on the boss, you should stay within one column of where it currently is. Stand on a nearby column if you can hit it from there, otherwise stand on the moving rocks in between the columns. Navigating downwards through rocks may be necessary to stay at the proper level.\\

<HTML></p></HTML>
<HTML><p></HTML>Make sure to always watch the boss- whenever it starts to jump, get off of the columns. If it hits you, it can do a dangerous amount of damage. Once you know the destination of the jump, you can follow it there.<HTML></p></HTML><HTML></li></HTML>
<HTML><li></HTML><HTML><p></HTML>Kill the parasites first.\\

<HTML></p></HTML>
<HTML><p></HTML>While damage on the boss is necessary for a fight, not much is needed for this fight. Don't concern yourself too much with doing this; your teammates can handle it. Your number one priority should be to kill any parasites nearby you- this not only protects you from their damage, but also stops them from surprising your teammates!<HTML></p></HTML><HTML></li></HTML>
<HTML><li></HTML><HTML><p></HTML>Don't let your guard down after it is over.\\

<HTML><p></HTML>You will immediately get the deed as text appears on screen proclaiming your victory. However, there still may be parasites lurking throughout the room- don't get hit by them and die before you can take your loot home!<HTML></p></HTML><HTML></li></HTML><HTML></ol></HTML>

Following all of these steps should allow you to survive a party defeat of the Fire Forest boss. Make sure to pick up your loot afterwards- the boss drops a chest on the platform it dies on. Who knows, you might just get an Experimental Arblast!
